Snowflake hugs

I just made this card yesterday, and got it in the mail by noon so it could reach my BFF and ever Amen (4 blocks away)!!!

I used an assortment of snowflakes that I collected, some I made, and I drew a quick spiral in Inkscape to cut from acrylic.  I covered all the snowflakes with stickles to make them glitter, but it doesn't show very well in this picture.

I'm getting to use some of my glitter papers on these cards.  This was another request from my sister.  She always has lots of ideas for me to work on.  Just wish the PO could get them to her a little faster.  I tried asking for "yesterday" service, but they laughed at me!

There are several templates out there for a mailbox that is like one at your home, but I searched and searched to find one that looks like the corner mailbox.  HP Creative Studio had one, so I had a good starting place for making mine.  I changed things to suit the way I wanted it to look..... lots of trial and error, but I think it finally came out pretty good.

Heart Basket

I had this file in my stash since last year.  I tried to find the designer's blog, but I didn't have any luck.  I got her file from a post on the Craft Edge forum and her id is:   gj1  but it doesn't look like the file is there any longer.  So all thanks go to gj1 for sharing this file.

I made up a bunch of these to pass out for Valentine's Day.  Mostly they go to the gals at the Dog Spa where our dog goes for water therapy.  Or to the receptionists/nurse at the doc, eye doc, dentist, if we have an appointment around the holiday.  Or to any visitors that stop by.  Or to the bank teller.  I may need to cut out some more, as the list gets longer!!!!
