3d Christmas Tree challenge

 Is this what you had in mind bcriminger???  I have another idea, but it wasn't working out, so I'll get back to that one some other time.

This one was done with 4 pieces, but you could add more and make a fatter tree.  I haven't cut a larger size yet either, but I'm sure there are lots of possibilities.

Flock of cranes

I had these cranes made and in a pop up card, but I couldn't think what to use as the sentiment, so it sat on my work table for several days.  (My craft room is in the rec room of the basement.)  When I finished this card and showed it to my #1 critic, he cracked up and said "you've been down there too long".  *LOL*

So here's my weird sense of humor at work again..... you've been warned.

Found this great electric guitar svg made by another designer here , and I just had to put it on a card.  This one is for my grand daughter.  I'm trying to get all my birthday cards done for the rest of the year so I'm not rushed at the last minute.

Dance

Now this is an awesome file that I picked up, but never used.  I didn't check it before cutting, so I had to cut it again after closing all the open paths.  Makes a much cleaner cut, even with a not so new blade.  I backed it with black glitter paper.  It really looks awesome.

Pop up words hello

Had some time to play with this pop up font.  You can find the info here.  

I would like to do some fancy fonts, but that will take more time and work, so this will do for now.

I always loved these pop up cards, so I had to give this one a try again.  One thing always leads to another and before you know it, the whole day is gone, and you only have one card to show for it!  I'm lucky to have an understanding hubby.  *LOL*  He's my best critic too.

Thanksgiving

I was playing around with some graphics and came up with a Thanksgiving card.

Halloween is right around the corner, but you have plenty of time to make a whole cemetery of these.
I made a bunch last year.  I converted a Martha Stewart template to make the svg.  When I opened it to cut some new ones this year, the file was messed up.  I had it saved as a SCUT file, but when I opened it, all the dashed lines turned into cut lines.  Sooooooo back to the drawing board and I re-did the whole thing again.  This time it's an SVG.  Use the 24 x 12 mat size when you open this file so you can see all the parts.

I like things to cut quick, so I put the bare minimum score lines on the box, the rest you can just score from cut to cut (there is a file with the score lines on the mat too).

I'm getting good at amputating body parts.   I cut off half the legs so I could put the body on a home made wiggler.
